Cyprus Income Tax Return Deadline Extended

The Cyprus Tax Department informs that, based on Ministerial Council Decree dated 9 June 2023 (KDP 183/2023) the submission of Declaration of Individual Income (TD1) for the year 2022 is extended until the 2nd of October 2023.

As mentioned in a previous announcement by the Department dated May 2, 2023, the 2022 Individual Income Tax Return has not yet to be posted on the TAXISnet system for submission, in view of the wait for passing, by the House of Representatives, amending legislation which governs the exemption of remuneration from first employment in the Republic [article 8(23A) L.118 (I)2002 as amended] with effect from the fiscal year 2022.

When amending legislation is passed and published, the Taxation Department will make all necessary changes to the Declaration of Individual Income for 2022 and will inform the public through an announcement and sending electronic messages to Direct Tax TAXISnet users, to start submitting the Declaration.

It is reminded that the obligation to submit a 2022 Personal Income Tax Return falls for Employees, Retired and Self-Employed individuals, whose gross total income for the year 2022 is greater than 19,500 euros.
